Yao Li 李垚

I am an assistant professor of Statistics at UNC Chapel Hill. I completed my Ph.D. at the University of California, Davis with Prof. Cho-Jui Hsieh and Prof. Thomas C.M. Lee. Prior to that, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Fudan University, China.

My research focuses on developing innovative algorithms to tackle real-world challenges in the machine learning pipeline. I investigate both the statistical and computational dimensions of machine learning models, with a current emphasis on the security of these models and computational pathology.
